CHP Information
Colorado is a shall-issue state for concealed handgun permits. The Jefferson County Sheriff's Office processes CHP applications for Jefferson County residents.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must be a legal resident of Colorado
- Must complete a firearms safety course
- Must not be prohibited from possessing firearms under state or federal law
Application Process
- Complete a firearms safety course from a certified instructor
- Schedule an appointment at JCSO Headquarters
- Submit your application, course certificate, and applicable fees
- Fingerprinting will be completed at the time of application
- Allow up to 90 days for processing
